Charlton sign Ipswich striker Bent in £2.5m deal

CHARLTON have completed the signing of Ipswich striker Darren Bent after the England U-21 international completed a medical yesterday.

The Premiership side will pay an initial £2.5m, which pay rise to £3m, for the highly-rated forward who scored 19 goals in the Coca-Cola Championship last season.

The Addicks have been tracking Bent for two years.
