Gunners can’t cope without me: Vieira

PATRICK VIEIRA has said that Arsenal have faltered in the Premiership this season because they haven’t come to terms with his departure from Highbury.

Vieira, who moved to Italian giants Juventus in a €20.4 million preseason move, said yesterday: “I don’t want to appear presumptuous but I really do think my absence has been felt.

“They have certainly suffered psychologically since I left,” the France midfielder added. “Maybe it’s because they haven’t fully understood the reasons why I left or maybe they are only just beginning to understand.”
