Ireland's Joe McCarthy in action during the Guinness Six Nations match at the Aviva Stadium in 2024

Ireland have rediscovered their mojo at last. After a convincing 42-21 victory against England at Twickenham last time out, Andy Farrell's men will be returning to the Aviva Stadium on Friday night (8.10pm) to take on Wales brimming with confidence.

However, Ireland will not be resting on their laurels.

Welsh rugby is clearly in dire straits and there has been little to cheer about for Steve Tandy's men. But, having narrowly lost out by three points to Scotland in their last outing, they will have an inkling of hope travelling to Dublin.

Is this a potential banana-peel fixture for the Irish?

Ireland will be boosted by news of Bundee Aki's return following suspension. The Connacht centre is joined by Leinster pair Jimmy O'Brien and Robbie Henshaw who find themselves back in contention after injury.

With James Lowe ruled out for the remainder of the tournament thorugh a groin injury, the return of O'Brien and Henshaw will bolster Farrell's options.
