Hugh Gavin ruled out for Connacht with ankle injury until February
SQUAD UPDATE: Connacht's Hugh Gavin has been ruled out until mid-February following surgery on an ankle injury picked up in the win over Dragons.
Connacht have issued a squad update ahead of this Saturday's URC clash against Bulls at Dexcom Stadium (5.30pm) and Hugh Gavin has been ruled out until mid-February.
Gavin underwent surgery on his ankle following an injury in the Dragons win. Peter Doolwy is rehabbing a calf strain and hoping to return to action for the Christmas interpros.
JJ Hanrahan continues his long-term rehab from his ACL injury and is on track for a mid-January return.
During the international break 30 players saw game time with two rounds of the IRFU 150 Men's 'A' Interprovincial Championship which saw them lose to Leisnter A at Creggs and win against Ulster A at the Kingspan Stadium.
Dave Heffernan has been released from the Ireland squad and is available for selection this weekend. Santiago Cordero has also been released from Argentina's camp following the end of their autumn internationals.
Bundee Aki, Mack Hansen, Finlay Bealham and Cian Prendergast remain in Ireland camp this week ahead of their final autumn international where they face Australia in the 150th Anniversary game.Â
