Alex Nankivell looks set to return to the Munster midfield for this Saturday’s home URC semi-final against Glasgow Warriors but Graham Rowntree has confirmed injuries to Tom Ahern, Joey Carbery and Rory Scannell have ended their seasons.

Munster welcomed back Nankivell’s regular centre partner Antoine Frisch from a leg injury for last Saturday’s 23-7 quarter-final win over Ospreys at Thomond Park, as well as hooker Diarmuid Barron following a five-month absence with a foot injury and now the former Chiefs back is in line to reunite in a first-choice combination as the defending champions look to contend with Glasgow’s Scottish Test pairing of Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones.
