Veteran Munster man Archer 'has a lot more to offer' 

Thursday’s team announcement for Munster's URC quarter-final at home to Ospreys both underlined the importance of Archer to his home province and confirmed the front-rower’s sense that he still has plenty to offer as a player.

Just when he thought he was out, Munster pulled him back in.

Stephen Archer might have woken up this Friday morning contemplating a 283rd appearance that could be his last but instead his thoughts of retirement and plans for a big summer without the prospect of a 16th successive pre-season campaign have been put on ice.
