Munster confirm signing of centre Tom Farrell

Munster have confirmed the signing of centre Tom Farrell on a two-year deal.
It was announced last week at the 30-year-old would be departing Connacht after seven years at the Sportsground. The former Ireland U20 international scored 21 tries in 112 appearances for Connacht after joining them from Bedford Blues in 2017.
The Dubliner, who was part of the Ireland squad for the 2019 Six Nations, spent three years with the Leinster academy before spells with London Irish and the Blues.
He will be a replacement in the Munster squad for the departing Antoine Frisch. The Irish-qualified Frenchman is set to join Top 14 side Toulon.
Farrell will join Diarmuid Kilgallen at Munster. It was announced in February that the winger will leave Connacht and move to Thomond Park.
Munster face Ulster at Thomond Park on Saturday week in their final game before the knockout stages of the URC.
Alex Nankivell will be unavailable having sustained an ankle injury against Edinburgh. He is set to be out for a number of weeks. Mike Haley was removed following a head injury in the same game and is following the graduated return to play protocols.
The availability of Joey Carbery, John Hodnett and Peter O’Mahony for the Ulster clash will be determined next week.
