Ireland head coach Scott Bemand spoke of his delight for his players following their first Guinness Women’s Six Nations victory in almost two seasons before urging them on to the next step in their progress.

Ireland ended their seven-game championship losing streak in style at Cork’s Virgin Media Park on Saturday with a five-try, 36-5 victory over Wales, who remain rooted to the foot of the table without a win across the first three rounds of the 2024 campaign.
