Declan Danaher welcomed the return of co-captain Edel McMahon to the Ireland back row for Saturday’s Guinness Women’s Six Nations clash against Wales in Cork and also praised Clíodhna Moloney’s efforts to earn her place back in international rugby.

McMahon returns to the starting line-up having missed the round-two home loss to Italy at the RDS through injury and her selection at openside flanker represents the only change to the starting line-up from that 27-21 Dublin defeat made by head coach Scott Bemand as he searches for a first championship victory of 2024.
