Oli Jager is standing in a corridor beneath the Aviva Stadium stands and about to take us through the week, and his Ireland debut, that just was when a chair is offered. He accepts it immediately and with no small degree of relief.

Beads of sweat are popping out and making a trail down his face as he sits there in his snazzy union-blue suit, white shirt and green tie and sharing what went through his mind as he jogged on for that first cap 54 minutes into the Six Nations defeat of Wales.
