Munster look set to have Oli Jager back in their ranks for Saturday’s historic Pairc Ui Chaoimh clash with Crusaders after the tighthead prop returned home from Ireland’s Guinness Six Nations training camp in Portugal on Wednesday.

Jager, who signed for Munster from the Super Rugby champions in November, was one of three of uncapped players invited to train with Ireland at their warm-weather base on the Algarve. Munster lock/flanker Tom Ahern and Leinster fly-half Sam Prendergast were the other “training panellists” named by Andy Farrell alongside his initial 34-man Six Nations squad, though Ahern was forced out following a head injury against Northampton Saints on January 20 and was replaced by Connacht’s Cian Prendergast, Sam’s elder brother.
