Munster In The Mayol - a fourth meeting between the sides

The Reds gained some revenge four years later thanks to some magic from wing Andrew Conway who’s superb solo try sealed a quarter-final victory at Thomond Park in a 20-19 victory.
Munster In The Mayol - a fourth meeting between the sides

This will be Munster’s fourth meeting with Toulon and their first at Stade Felix Mayol since the French club’s maiden season in Europe in 2010/11 when the two-time Heineken Cup winners lost 32-16 and failed to reach the knockout stages for the first time in 13 seasons. Current Munster defence coach Denis Leamy and Toulon head coach Pierre Mignoni both played that day though the French hero that day was English fly-half Jonny Wilkinson, who kicked 22 of their points – six penalties and two conversions – while the visitors saw Donncha O’Callaghan and Ronan O’Gara sin-binned.
