Beirne: 'To me it’s offside but he felt they weren’t in the way and they weren’t offside'

Munster captain Tadhg Beirne was left frustrated by referee Mathieu Raynal following Exeter Chiefs final try as his side went down 34-23 at Sandy Park but it was the Reds’ lack of composure and error count to blame for defeat, the Ireland star said.
Henry Slade secured Exeter’s second win from two outings in Champions Cup Pool 3 with a late try to deny Munster a losing bonus point, but it was a controversial score, his intercept of a Conor Murray pass coming as two retreating team-mates and referee Raynal himself obscured his bolt from the Chiefs’ defensive line.
