Mike Prendergast has backed Oli Jager to springboard into the Ireland reckoning as he hits the ground running at Munster.

The Irish-qualified, 6ft 4ins, 19st 11lbs tighthead prop joined Munster last month after a trophy-laden five seasons with New Zealand’s Super Rugby kingpins Crusaders, and having given up on his bid to become an All Black.
