I watched Australia lose Sunday night and reviewed it again yesterday and as someone with an interest in the Wallabies, it’s such a shame because a lot of it I thought came down to inexperience - not just the errors made but their timing - when they were made.

The Wallabies were very average with how they controlled the game and the opportunities they gave to Wales instead of relieving a lot of that pressure. That lack of experience? Eddie Jones jettisoned exactly that in the guys he left at home, fellas like Michael Hooper, Quade Cooper and Bernard Foley. Michael Hooper was injured but he would have become available, by all accounts, later on in the tournament.
