Some of my favourite scenes in The Simpsons are flashbacks to Homer’s youth, and the interactions he had with his father, Abe who walks in on young Homer and Barney singing Leo Sayer’s ā€˜You Make Me Feel Like Dancing’ in the mirror.

Homer tells his father he wouldn’t understand, as he’s not ā€œwith itā€, to which Abe replies: ā€œI used to be with it, but then they changed what ā€˜it’ was. Now what I’m with isn’t ā€˜it’, and what’s ā€˜it’ seems weird and scary...ā€
