August cited for Heaslip stamp

Biarritz Olympique hooker Benoit August has been cited for an alleged stamp on Leinster and Ireland number eight Jamie Heaslip during Saturday's Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final in Dublin.

The Leinster management today confirmed that Heaslip needed several stitches to his right leg due to the incident, and is expected to take only a limited part in training this week.

Meanwhile, Perpignan lock Dan Leo has also been reported for stamping on Stade Francais hooker Laurent Sempere in the other semi-final encounter on Friday night.

Both August and Leo face disciplinary hearings in Dublin on Thursday.
