French clubs set autumn deadline for Heineken Cup negotiations

France's Top 14 clubs have set an autumn deadline for completion of negotiations over the restructuring of the Heineken Cup, after which they will examine alternative options.

ERC stakeholders are scheduled to meet in Dublin on September 18 to begin talks over what format the competition should take when the current agreement ends in 2014.
