Captain Brian O’Driscoll insists Ireland “are not playing here for second best” as they look to respond to their emphatic defeat by the All Blacks when they meet again in Christchurch on Saturday.

Declan Kidney’s side went down 42-10 in the first Test in Auckland with debutant winger Julian Savea running in a hat-trick inside 43 first-half minutes.
