Australia lock Nathan Sharpe has announced his retirement from professional rugby at the end of the upcoming Super Rugby campaign with Western Force which rules out him making farewell appearances against Scotland and Wales.

Sharpe, a 33-year-old veteran of 101 Test caps, would be available for the Wallabies' four June fixtures against Scotland and Wales, but plans to bow out after a final season of club rugby.
