Ulster centre Paddy Wallace underwent surgery yesterday to repair tendon damage in his left thumb, and will be out for two months while he recovers.

The 32-year-old sustained the injury during Saturday’s Heineken Cup Pool 4 game against ASM Clermont Auvergne at Ravenhill.
