Glasgow score narrow win over Aironi

Glasgow picked up just a sixth Magners League win of the season with a narrow win over Aironi at Stadio Luigi Zaffanella.

The Warriors led 10-6 at the break thanks to a try from full-back Peter Murchie and a conversion and penalty from fly-half Ruaridh Jackson.

Aironi’s points had come from the boot of scrum-half Tito Tebaldi and a converted try from his half-back partner James Marshall put the Italians 13-10 to the good.

But Ryan Grant’s try, converted by Jackson, put the visitors back in front, meaning a penalty from Marshall was not enough for Aironi as Glasgow climb to 10th in the table.
