O'Driscoll: We made it hard for ourselves

A dejected Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll felt his side had contributed to their own downfall in the defeat against France this eveningm, particularly in their failure to register an early try when Gordon D'Arcy broke through.

He told BBC1: “We made it hard for ourselves. There were bad defensive errors, we didn’t take our opportunities, there were a lot of unforced errors and it was very difficult to put any sort of phase together.
