Morland helps Cookies to victory
Young Munster 30 Terenure College 17
Munster scrum half Toby Morland made his debut for Young Munster and played a big part in their AIB Cup second round victory over Terenure College at Tom Clifford Park today.
Despite having three of their players sin-binned at various stages, the Cookies were well on top in the forward exchanges and eventually won through to a third round meeting with Ballymena.
Young Munster led 20-3 at half-time and the second half was more evenly contested but by then the home side had booked their passage through to the next round.
Centre Matthew Costelloe crossed the line twice for the winners who also had a try by prop Alan Cotter, adding to a penalty try.
Out-half Alan Kingsley converted two of the tries and also tagged on a penalty. The tally was completed by a drop goal from full-back Ray Moloney.
Terenure had a two-try haul from former Young Munster player Adam O'Loughlin.
