Wales comfortable at break against Scots
Scotland 3 Wales 16
Wales began the defence of their RBS 6 Nations title in ominous fashion, taking a comfortable half-time lead against an experimental Scotland side.
Despite captain Ryan Jones failing a late fitness test, the Grand Slam champions completely overpowered their opponents, touching down twice through Tom Shanklin and Alun-Wyn Jones.
To compound Scotland’s misery, they lost wing Simon Webster and debutant prop Geoff Cross after both were knocked unconscious, with the latter also sin binned for a dangerous tackle.
