Munster rule Hayes out ahead of Edinburgh clash

Munster have been hit by the defection of tight-head prop John Hayes ahead of their Magner's League opener at Edinburgh on Friday.

Hayes travelled over with the squad yesterday, was unable to take part because of a sore throat. The condition didn't improve overnight.

Tony Buckley was flown out to join the squad. Coach Tony McGahan will have to choose between Buckley and Federico Pucciariello to start the match with the other on the bench.
