Melck signs for Munster

Munster have signed Western Province back-row forward Justin Melck on a two-month deal.

The 25-year-old was mostly rtestricted to the replacement's bench during this season's Currie Cup competition. He has won 45 caps for Western Province, a South African team, and has also played for the Stormers in the Super 14.

He was restricted by the presence of Springboks Schalk Burger and Luke Watson in the WP back row and is seen as a short-term solution to the absence of Denis Leamy, recovering from injury.
