Major injury setback for Clerc

France winger Vincent Clerc is set for an extended period on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury while playing for Toulouse on Saturday.

The 26-year-old was taken from the pitch on a stretcher in the 67th minute of Toulouse's 23-11 defeat against Clermont Auvergne and is expected to be out of action for between six and nine months with torn cruciate ligaments in his left knee.
