Murphy to sit out training with tendon strain

Geordan Murphy is set to sit out training today as Ireland prepare for this weekend's Six Nations clash with Wales at Croke Park.

Murphy picked up an Achilles tendon strain in Leicester's win over Leeds in the English Premiership on Saturday.

He will be closely monitored over the coming days to see if he can recover in time for next Saturday's tie.

Girvan Dempsey, meanwhile, is continuing to recover from the hip injury that saw him ruled out of last week's win over Scotland and is due to take part in today's training session.
