Wilkinson extends Newcastle deal

England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson has ended speculation over his future by signing a new two-year deal with Newcastle.

The 28-year-old had been in the final year of his existing contract with the Falcons and there were fears he would quit the Kingston Park club after fitness coach Steve Black, one of Wilkinson's closest confidants, left his post.
