Italy centre Mirco Bergamasco has received a two-week ban after being cited for tripping Scotland’s Dan Parks during the World Cup Pool C game in St-Etienne last Saturday.

Italy centre Mirco Bergamasco has received a two-week ban after being cited for tripping Scotland’s Dan Parks during the World Cup Pool C game in St-Etienne last Saturday.

World Cup judicial officer Christopher Quinlan upheld the citing complaint, with Stade Francais player Bergamasco suspended from October 8.

Bergamasco has 48 hours to appeal the decision.
