Pumas trio out of Namibia clash

Argentina trio Juan Martin Hernandez, Marcos Ayerza and Federico Todeschini have been ruled out of Saturday’s World Cup Group D game against Namibia.

Stade Francais fly-half Hernandez misses out due to a muscle injury in his right leg coupled with a problem he suffered in last week’s 33-3 win over Georgia.

“We believe Hernandez will be fit in 10 days. He will be fit in time to play Ireland (on September 30),” Pumas doctor Mario Larrain told www.ole.com.ar.

“I can take the risk and let him start on Saturday, but we’ll wait as a precaution.”

Ayerza sits out the Namibia game with a leg injury, while Todeschini may miss the rest of the group stages.

“It would be difficult for him to play Ireland. If I have to say something now, I would say he is ruled out,” Larrain added.

However, coach Marcelo Loffreda has received some good news with captain Agustin Pichot, who missed the Georgia game, likely to face the Namibians.
