Tickets for Connacht's high-profile friendly with World Cup contenders South Africa on August 21 have been selling fast today, with the main stand terrace having already sold out.

Tickets for Connacht's high-profile friendly with World Cup contenders South Africa on August 21 have been selling fast today, with the main stand terrace having already sold out.

More than half of the total tickets on sale have already sold and the match is expected to be announced as a sell out by the weekend.

Season tickets have also been selling well with many fans availing of the opportunity to purchase a second ticket for the South Africa match.

The match is expected to be announced as an all-ticket affair and Connacht's Commercial Manager Fiona Keys is delighted with the response from fans.

"The interest not only from our own supporters but also from the UK has been incredible," she said.

"We're expecting this match to be sold out by the weekend so we would urge anybody wanting to come to the match to buy their tickets immediately".

Adult tickets cost €30 and €10 for children for the game, and are available from www.ticketmaster.ie or by calling in person to the Connacht Branch offices in the Sportsground.
