Brennan banned by French federation over alleged assault
The French Rugby Federation has suspended former Ireland lock Trevor Brennan until March 15 following his alleged assault on an Ulster fan.
The Toulouse player is facing an ERC disciplinary hearing next month after being caught on camera punching the Ulster fan in the face.
He says he was provoked by verbal taunts.
The French Rugby Federation has imposed today's ban at the request of the International Rugby Board, which says it is "in the interests of the game".
