Three players from English Premiership clubs have been prevented from joining the Scottish squad ahead of Saturday week's clash with Italy at Murrayfield.

Leicester lock Jim Hamilton, Northampton wing Sean Lamont and Gloucester scrum-half Rory Lawson have all been told by their clubs they can't join the Scotland squad until next week.
