O'Connell gearing up for France clash

Paul O’Connell has warned France not to take comfort from Ireland’s faltering start to the RBS 6 Nations – because they were still in first gear.

A 19-9 victory over Wales saw the Irish negotiate a potentially hazardous opener in Cardiff but despite scoring three tries, the display hardly justified their status as favourites.
