Brennan gains High Court injunction against disciplinary hearing
The High Court has granted a temporary injunction to Irish rugby player Trevor Brennan, adjourning a disciplinary hearing into an alleged punching incident during a match ten days ago.
The Dublin-based European Rugby Club was due to hold the hearing tomorrow but it has been deferred pending the outcome of the Stade Toulouse player's High Court action.
Lawyers for Mr Brennan this afternoon told the court they feared criminal proceedings he's facing could be prejudiced by the hearing.
They want it adjourned completely until after the criminal action is over.
It's alleged he punched an Ulster fan during a Heineken Cup match in France.
