Terenure College 18 Buccaneers 8, Lakelands Park

Terenure College ended their four-match losing streak in the AIB League as they got the better of Buccaneers at Lakelands Park.

The Dubliners bagged their third successive home win over Buccs thanks to tries from lock Alex Dunlop and out-half Shane Cullen.

Kickers Tom Cregan and Robbie McCarthy exchanged penalties as the sides ended the first half at 3-3. Buccs lost Conor Hartigan to a yellow card and then watched Dunlop be mauled over on 50 minutes.

McCarthy added a penalty and then Cullen intercepted Conor O’Loughlin to score a glorious second try. Cregan’s late try was Buccs’ only consolation.
