Shannon staged a dramatic late comeback as they wrestled a 17-17 draw away from Temple Hill.

Cork Con looked to be coasting to their fourth straight league win when they race into a 17-0 lead.

Richie Lane’s penalty, in first half injury-time, was followed by converted tries from wingers Diarmuid O’Riordan (44 minutes) and Cronan Healy (56).

But Shannon’s pack took over for the final quarter. Tadhg Bennett booted a penalty, the visitors’ scrum forced a penalty try and hooker Sean Cronin was mauled over on 82 minutes, with Andrew Thompson converting to draw the sides level.
