Brennan guilty of trampling

Toulouse's Trevor Brennan has been found guilty of trampling in their Heineken Cup meeting with Ulster at Ravenhill three weeks ago.

Brennan appeared before an independent Disciplinary Committee in London yesterday.

The independent Disciplinary Committee, chaired by Jeff Blackett (England) and also consisting of Rob Flockhart (Scotland) and Jeremy Summers (England), found that the citing should be upheld.

However, the Committee determined that the offence would not have warranted a red card and decided no sanction should be imposed.

Both parties were advised of the right to appeal.
