Ballymena picked up their second win in three AIB League games as fly half Paddy Wallace controlled matters in a 40-7 humbling of St. Mary's College.

Wallace kicked three conversions and three penalties and marshalled the Braidmen’s backline as they ran in five tries to Mary’s one at Eaton Park.

Former Leinster Under-21 hooker Ollie McCormack opened the scoring for Mary’s with a try but Dirkie Strydom soon crossed the Dubliners’ line, setting Ballymena on their way to a 13-7 half-time lead.

Centres Joel Semple and Jamie McGrugan, winger Scott Young and lock Bob Young also touched down for Steph Nel’s side in a one-sided second half.
