Danaher extends Exiles deal

Declan Danaher has signed a new deal with London Irish to keep him at the club until the end of the 2008-09 season.

The 25-year-old back row forward joined the Exiles’ player development group in July 1999 and has since made 133 appearances for the Guinness Premiership club and represented England A.

“I am very happy at London Irish and am pleased to have signed a new three-year contract,” said Danaher.

“This club is going places, Brian Smith and Toby Booth are taking us in a new direction and we are beginning to play some good rugby.”

Director of rugby Brian Smith added: “Declan’s decision to sign a new contract is another major boost for the club.”
