Pay rise for Welsh players

Professional players in Wales have received a pay rise and improved insurance cover after thrashing out a two-year agreement with the Welsh Rugby Union.

The Welsh Rugby Players’ Association has ensured its members are now covered by the WRU against loss of earnings due to medium-term, long-term or career-threatening injuries.
