Thomond player gets two-year drug ban
Thomond player Ciarán Mooney has committed an anti-doping violation, the IRFU revealed today.
Traces of cocaine were found in a urine sample taken on December 4, 2004, when Thomond played Limerick neighbours Old Crescent in the AIB League division two.
Mooney has been banned from competition for two years, subject to his right to appeal within 14 days.
