Howell red card rescinded

David Holwell has had the red card he received in the Celtic Cup semi-final for Leinster against Munster rescinded at a disciplinary hearing tonight.

Holwell was sent off on the advice of a linesman for dropping his knee onto the head of Irish scrum-half Peter Stringer late into the second-half.

Holwell will fly out to his native New Zealand in the morning and return to Dublin for the Leinster annual awards at the end of the month.
