Sheahan leads Munster out against Glasgow

Frankie Sheahan captains Munster on his 101st appearance for the province in the Celtic League game against Glasgow at Thomond Park on Sunday, according to the Evening Echo.

The 28-year-old is joined by fellow internationals Marcus Horan and Donncha O’Callaghan in a team containing David Wallace at number eight and Denis Leamy at openside flanker.

Christian Cullen is rested. Shaun Payne is at full-back, John Kelly restored to the right wing following injury and Jason Holland partners James Storey in the centre.

Holland retains his place at inside centre following an impressive display in the last game against Llanelli three weeks ago, while Storey’s most recent outing was in the 3-0 win over Connacht at Christmas.

High winds and driving rain gave Storey no chance of impressing coach Alan Gaffney on that occasion, so he’ll be hoping for favourable weather this time.

Meanwhile, Munster expect to take delivery of their ticket allocation for the Heineken Cup quarter-final against Biarritz on April 3 next week.

The game has been confirmed for the 32,000 capacity Estadio Anoeta, home of Real Sociedad, in San Sebastian with a 4pm kick-off (local time).

Munster can expect a minimum of 8,000 tickets for the first Heineken Cup game to be played in Spain.

MUNSTER: S Payne; J Kelly, J Storey, J Holland, A Horgan; P Burke, E Reddan; M Horan, F Sheahan, G McIlwham; T Hogan, D O’Calla- ghan; A Quinlan, D Wallace, D Leamy. Subs: E McGovern, J Flannery, T Bowman, J Williams, M Prendergast, R Henderson, P Devlin.
