Elwood returns for Connacht's French test

Michael Bradley has decided to go with the tactical nous of Eric Elwood as one of five changes for Connacht's away date at Grenoble in the European Challenge Cup quarter-final on Friday evening (6.30pm Irish time).

Former England number eight Dean Richards, head coach at Grenoble, will be well aware of Connacht's forward power and the French will be a tough nut to crack on their own soil at Stade Lesdiguieres.

Bradley has counteracted power with power as James Downey moves out to the wing to allow Paul Warwick and Darren Yapp to team up in the centre.

Scrum-half Tom Tierney and left wing Ted Robinson complete the three changes in behind. John Muldoon will take over from the injured John O'Sullivan (shoulder) and Pieter Myburgh has forced Christian Short down to the bench.

CONNACHT (v Grenoble): Matt Mostyn; James Downey, Darren Yapp, Paul Warwick Ted Robinson; Eric Elwood, Tom Tierney; Ray Hogan, Bernard Jackman, Peter Bracken, Pieter Myburgh, Andrew Farley, Michael Swift, Matt Lacey, John Muldoon.

Replacements: John Fogarty, Adrian Clarke, Christian Short, Brendan O'Connor, Chris Keane, Niall O'Brien, Conor McPhillips.
