Ospreys' Jones escapes further stamp punishment

The Welsh Rugby Union are to take no further action against Neath-Swansea Ospreys number eight Ryan Jones for stamping on the head of Donncha O'Callaghan.

This follows a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday.

The judging panel decided the straight red card in the Celtic League fixture at Musgrave Park last Saturday was sufficient punishment.

Ospreys are due to face Munster again on January 8 at Thomond Park in a game that could decide the winners of Heineken Cup Pool Four.
