Dungannon 17 UCD 30

UCD moved menacingly to the top of the AIB League Division One standings as they hit Dungannon for three tries in a 30-17 beating of the home side at Stevenson Park.

22-year-old fly-half Eoghan Hickey, who kicked 13 points in their 23-3 success over Lansdowne last Saturday, was the man-of-the-match again as he grabbed 20 points.

Backed by a number of Leinster Heineken Cup offloads, the Students were 9-7 down at the break as Ireland Under U21 Gareth Steenson kicked three penalties for 'Gannon.

UCD scrum-half Brian O'Riordan had been on target for the visitors, but they fell 12-7 behind with another Steenson effort six minutes into the second half.

Ross McCarron and Hickey tries soon saw UCD pull clear and Hickey crowned his performance with a well-struck drop goal. 'Gannon back row Andrew Hughes scored the home side's only try.
