The Irish schoolboy rugby team had a second win from two on their Australian tour with a win over the second Queensland team, the Evening Echo reports.

Players who did not get a chance to play in the 78-0 win over New South Wales Country Schools were given the chance to play for their country against the Queensland boys by coach Peter Melia.

Ireland scored four tries, two from Darren O’Reilly (Sullivan Upper) and one each from Rory Drysdale (Belfast RA) and Gavin O’Meara (St Mary’s).

Terenure College out-half Conor Gildea scored two penalties and two conversions.

The Irish team takes on Queensland Schools on Saturday.
